I’m still traveling, eating, discovering new places somewhere away from home. And it will be several more days before I can get back into the kitchen to cook something. In the meantime, may I please invite you to go over to Serious Eats for this turmeric grilled chicken aka “train grilled chicken”? It’s really good. One of my favorite recipes, in fact.
This grilled chicken is flavorful enough to stand on its own, but if you feel that it needs a little something, a bowl of Thai sweet chili sauce or jaew might make things more interesting. Add a batch of warm sticky rice and perhaps a plate of Som Tam to make a complete meal.

Very nice !
Color me derailed! LOL! I came to find your Pad Thai recipe, and saw this… I seriously should do the Pad Thai tonight because the chicken is still frozen, but the idea of chicken with your version of sticky rice (LOVE it!!) and Som Tam (again!) sounds too perfect for words! Yummmm!
I had a similar dish while at a Greek restaurant in my hometown a couple of weeks ago. It is so tasty – also it has a fabulous, spicy kick to it.
I made this for 20 people and served it with Thai peanut sauce. Everyone raved. It was truly transcendent. Instead of using skewers, I just marinated and grilled whole boneless thighs and then cut them into large slices before serving. Thank you; this is a keeper.
Hmmmm… I just had breakfast, but my mouht is watery just from reading this post. This is definetly going to be the weekend dinner!
